Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it;

  • browser, device, and operating-system information;

  • pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, and dates and times of visits;

  • shopping-cart and website-interaction information; and

  • cookie identifiers and similar online activity information.

We may associate automatically collected information with information you provide to us, when permitted by law.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from service providers and business partners, including website, scheduling, payment, accounting, rental-management, communications, delivery, analytics, advertising, and social-media providers. If another person places an order or submits information on your behalf, we may also receive your information from that person.

2. How We Use Information

  • coordinate consultations, deliveries, pickups, setup, breakdown, and other event services;

  • send order confirmations, reminders, delivery updates, service messages, and customer-support communications;

  • administer contracts, waivers, policies, and customer accounts;

  • maintain inventory, business, tax, accounting, insurance, and transaction records;

  • personalize and improve our website, products, services, and customer experience;

  • measure website performance and understand how visitors use our website;

  • send promotional emails when permitted by law and consistent with your choices;

  • advertise and measure the effectiveness of our marketing, including through cookies and similar technologies;

  • prevent fraud, protect our customers, staff, equipment, systems, and legal rights, and enforce our agreements;

  • comply with legal, regulatory, insurance, and safety obligations; and

  • complete a business transaction, such as a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of some or all business assets.

We seek to collect and use only the information reasonably needed for these purposes.

3. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for legitimate business purposes:

  • Service providers, including companies that provide website hosting, ecommerce, rental or order management, payment processing, accounting, email delivery, appointment scheduling, communications, delivery routing, data storage, customer support, analytics, advertising, security, and professional services.

  • Event and fulfillment partners, when reasonably necessary to deliver products or provide services requested by you.

  • Professional advisers, such as attorneys, accountants, insurers, auditors, and consultants.

  • Government authorities or other parties when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, customers, staff, or the public.

  • Parties to a business transaction, such as actual or prospective purchasers, lenders, investors, or advisers involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets.

  • Other parties at your direction or with your consent.

We do not sell or rent customer contact lists for money. Some analytics or advertising technologies may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising under certain state privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged. Where such laws apply, we provide and honor legally required choices.

Our service providers are expected to use personal information only for the services they perform for us or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Our website and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences and shopping-cart selections, analyze traffic, improve performance, prevent fraud, and measure or personalize advertising.

These technologies may include:

  • Essential cookies, which support website functions such as navigation, security, forms, carts, and checkout;

  • Functional cookies, which remember preferences and improve website features;

  • Analytics cookies, which help us understand website traffic and performance; and

  • Advertising cookies, which may measure campaigns or help display relevant advertising.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and any cookie-preference tool made available on our website. Blocking some cookies may cause parts of the website to function incorrectly.

Do Not Track and browser privacy signals

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to Do Not Track signals, our website may not respond to them. Where required by applicable law, we will process recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for the browser or device sending the signal.

5. Email and Service Communications

If you subscribe to promotional emails, you may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us at info@ocpartyrentals.com. We may continue to send non-promotional communications that are necessary to respond to you, administer an order or rental, coordinate delivery or pickup, provide safety or policy information, or maintain our business relationship.

6. Your Choices and Requests

You may contact us to:

  • unsubscribe from marketing communications;

  • request access to or correction of personal information we maintain about you;

  • ask us to delete personal information, subject to legal, contractual, fraud-prevention, accounting, insurance, and operational retention requirements; or

  • ask a question or raise a concern about our privacy practices.

Submit a request using the contact details in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. The availability and scope of privacy rights vary by jurisdiction, and we may retain information where permitted or required by law.

7. California Privacy Notice

If you are a California resident, California law may provide specific privacy rights depending on OCPR's activities and whether a particular law applies to the business.

CalOPPA requires operators of commercial websites that collect personally identifiable information from California consumers to conspicuously post a privacy policy. This policy identifies the categories of information we collect, the categories of parties with whom information may be shared, the process for requesting review or correction, how we communicate material changes, and this policy's effective date.

If OCPR becomes subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the "CCPA"), eligible California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information; receive information about collection and disclosure; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable rights. OCPR will honor such rights when and to the extent required by law.

OCPR does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, preserve transaction and rental records, maintain customer relationships, comply with tax, accounting, insurance, and legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and applicable requirements.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include access restrictions, service-provider controls, secure systems, staff practices, and payment processing through specialized providers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us promptly.

10. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services, such as appointment scheduling, maps, payment services, social-media platforms, or embedded content. Those third parties may collect information directly from you and operate under their own privacy policies. OCPR is not responsible for the privacy practices of services we do not control. We encourage you to review their policies before providing personal information.

11. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults arranging rentals, purchases, or events and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices, services, vendors, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate, such as a notice on the website or an email to customers whose information is affected.
